projectlife365... the beginning.

Ok, yeah. I'm not the greatest at this whole "keeping up with blogging" thing. Honestly, my creativity and inspiration has been at an all time low lately. In an effort to light a fire, I joined a global group of creatives through a community project called ProjectLife365.  This is a photo-a-day project that provides a daily inspiration to get your creative juices flowing. You can see what has inspired others that day, get ideas, and generally connect with other camera-happy people. Not only is this project encouraging me to find inspiration each day and create in some way, it also challenges me in a way that is not related to work or school, or any of those other normal day-to-day challenges. I typically share through Instagram (@geminirose28), and sometimes through facebook. However, I'd like to share some of these daily inspirations here with you! I was a little late to the game, and started on Week 5. Take a peak...

ProjectLife365: Week 5

Here's the rundown of daily inspiration:

1/27/13 - 2/2/13

SUNDAY: #outside
MONDAY: #inside
TUESDAY: #red
WEDNESDAY: #innocent
THURSDAY: #grow
FRIDAY: #you_today
SATURDAY: #repetition

As always, thanks for looking!

the underground.

Sometimes, when special friends come to visit, you find yourself playing tourist in your own city. This is precisely what happened when my dear friend Jill hopped into town. Back in March, when I visited her in Abu Dhabi (yes, I know, I still need to post about this!), we talked about taking the Seattle Underground Tour. SO that's what we did. Here are a few shots to give you an idea of what we saw...

We learned about the so called "seamstresses" of Seattle. And Madam Lou Graham, and her gender inclusive policies.  We learned of the fires, the sewage issues (glad those are taken care of), and why the skylights we step on daily look purple now.  We learned a bit about the suspected ghosts that still wander the underground and the about the rat infestation that closed the whole underground down for decades.  All in all, although a bit cheesy at times, it was worth going.  Even as a Seattleite.

More tourist adventures to come soon!
