For several years, my parents had this forest green foot bench in our family room. It used to go with the theme of our family room and was well used and loved. Eventually it was moved to our spare room to sit until we found a better use for it. When I moved to Seattle, I brought the forest green foot bench thinking I could eventually do something with it.
For the past two years, it has sat next to my bed and collected clothes, papers, etc. This December, I finally got around to recovering it. I chose a vibrant robin egg blue to cover the bench and added detail with a ribbon that closely matches my bedspread print. I used batting under the fabric to add some shape and used black lace around the bottom for a finished look.
This little foot bench now has a significant face lift and a prominent, uncluttered place at the foot of my bed.
